Tip on bear bangers... If carrying a shotgun for bear protection, you'll want to buy the ones sold as 12 gauge shells. Not only do they "bang" a LOT more than the small, insanely expensive pen thingy does (a joke), but it can also stay ready in your shotgun as it' not munition, you can't kill anything with it (bring more to demonstrate it is what you shot if needed). Super helpful as a first warning and giving you time to load something closer to lethal if needed - then lethal as very last resort. As for that pen thing... that kit comes in a pack of different items to shoot (flares, bangers) and that was not one of the bangers, just the primer launching a signal. Also, as per instructions, both bangers and signal should be pointed... upwards - don't point a banger at bear if you have a sense of self presevation - if it bangs past him he'll come charging towards you - use basic common sense.

1 slug taking down a big bear - unlikely unless you hit him in the brain - and a dead bear isn't always a down bear.............

I purchased a boat and big water equipment from a buddy a few years ago and have he has been to busy to take me out and show me how to use this equipment. Lol... that had to be the lousiest demo video ever. Loved the detailed close-ups... oh, wait... there wasn't any! Lot of guesswork, there! Oh... and for all the ambiguity your 'advice presented, maybe the best option would be to stay the hell home. My advice? Ditch the stupid bangers and spray, pull the plug on the magazine and load that fucker up! Buck - slug - slug -slug - buck, etc. Shoot to KILL! NO WARNING SHOTS! Otherwise, STAY HOME. Aim to reduce it's face to pudding, taking away it's ability to smell and bite and breathe. Having a slurry for a muzzle and maw will greatly enhance your survivability. Then pound slugs through it's chest and shoulders... remember, it picked this scrap!

So I picked on up from the thrift store and fixed the motor. It's momentary on on side and latching on the other. Is the latching supposed to be on the way down. Momentary just means it only goes that way while actively pressing the button, latch holds itself in place. I assume latch switch for down momentary for up?
